ColourPop and Animal Crossing Dropped a Makeup Collection

ColourPop is getting in on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fun with an exciting new launch. The beauty brand just teamed up with Nintendo to release an all-new collection inspired by the popular simulation video game, and the products included look just about as bright and cheery as the game itself.

The ColourPop x Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection features four mini eyeshadow palettes, all named and designed after characters and themes found in the game. There’s the nature-themed Nook Inc. Palette inspired by Tom Nook, the character who’s pretty much become the face of the game; the 5 Star Island Palette inspired by Isabelle, the game’s island assistant; the Labelle of the Ball Palette, which comes with an assortment of lavender and purple shades inspired by the Able Sisters; and the What a Hoot Palette, a nude palette inspired by brother and sister Blathers and Celeste. The rest of the collection includes three lip tint duos, two blushes (peach and light pink), a gold glitter gel, and a peachy Super Shock Shadow.

The Animal Crossing game series has been around for 20 years, but it became an even bigger phenomenon last spring as many people used it as an escape from reality at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, a number of beauty brands have partnered with its creators to release fun in-game features and products, though few of them have released actual collections inspired by the game.

ColourPop’s ACNH collection will officially be available for purchase on ColourPop’s official website on Jan. 28, and at Ulta Beauty on Feb. 14. Get a sneak peek at all of the products ahead.
