Mauricio Pochettino’s wait for a major trophy has ended.
And a number of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United fans have taken great joy in teasing Tottenham supporters regarding their ex-manager’s feat.
Pochettino, who was sacked by Spurs in November 2019, finally made his return to management on January 3.
Appointed the new Paris Saint-Germain head coach following the surprise departure of Thomas Tuchel, the Argentine tactician hasn’t even been in the hotseat for two weeks yet.
But he’s already won a trophy – the very first of his managerial career.
In truth, Tuchel oversaw PSG’s passage to Trophée des Champions final, but it was Pochettino who completed the job on Wednesday night.
Goals in either half from Mauro Icardi and Neymar sealed a 2-1 win for PSG over Marseille – currently managed by another former Spurs boss in Andre Vilas-Boas.
As expected, there’s been a massive reaction on social media to Pochettino finally winning a trophy.
However, it’s not necessarily been from Spurs fans.
Rather a number of rival supporters have been saying the same thing about Pochettino winning more trophies in just over 10 days at PSG than his five-year spell at Spurs.
