Tottenham fans have been going crazy over youngster Dane Scarlett today.
Spurs‘ under-18s were in FA Youth Cup action this afternoon when they took on Newport County at Tottenham Hotspur Way, and they did not get off to a good start.
Newport raced into a two-goal lead in the tie, which was the first taste of competitive action for the under-18s since before Christmas.
But Tottenham switched on the style after falling behind and hot-prospect Scarlett went on to net no fewer than five goals as Spurs completed a 6-2 rout.
The 16-year-old stole the show with his performance and his last goal might have been the best of the lot, the striker smashing a right-footed volley into the bottom corner.

The young England international has scored 13 goals and assisted four in just 10 games in the under-18s Premier League and he even scored in his sole appearance in the Premier League 2 for the under-23s.
Scarlett’s impressive performances have even seen him win win a first-team appearance this season, featuring for Jose Mourinho in the Europa League.
Expectations are rising around the youngster and this latest performance has Tottenham fans very excited.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Scarlett’s impressive rise certainly has fans excited, but the striker won’t get the chance to continue his form in the FA Youth Cup with the competition suspended following today’s game.
“The health and wellbeing of players and staff are of paramount importance and we intend to resume the national competition once the UK Government’s current national COVID-19 lockdown concludes and it is deemed safer for clubs to travel,” the FA confirmed in a statement.
“The FA Youth Participation & Development Committee, which is responsible for management of the competition, will continue to review the situation and we will provide further updates at the earliest opportunity.”
